We are a family-run mobility and healthcare company founded in Aberdare in 1980.
From mobility equipment and specialist seating to stairlifts, accessible bathrooms and home adaptations, we help people find practical solutions that make everyday life easier.
More than four decades later, we remain based in South Wales, with stores across the region and in Yate alongside our installation, servicing and support teams.
OUR STORY
Bush Healthcare began as a local business in Aberdare in 1980.
Since then, the products have changed, technology has moved on and our reach has grown, but the purpose of the business has remained straightforward: understand what someone is finding difficult and help them find an appropriate solution.
Today, that might mean a lightweight mobility scooter for travelling, a rise & recline chair made around the user, a stairlift for a difficult staircase or a complete accessible bathroom.

Many mobility products are difficult to choose from specifications alone.
That is why our stores give you the opportunity to sit in chairs, compare wheelchairs, try walking aids and test suitable mobility scooters before making a decision.
For equipment that depends on the home itself — including stairlifts and accessible bathrooms — we can come to you and carry out a free survey.

A team close to home
Our store network stretches across South Wales and into Yate, supported by our Head Office in Aberdare.
That local presence also extends beyond the initial purchase. Our teams provide servicing, repairs, installations and product support across much of the equipment we supply.

A product needs to do more than look good in a catalogue. We consider how it performs in everyday use, how it feels for the person using it, how practical it is to support and whether it offers a genuine reason to choose it.
That gives our teams a range of different solutions rather than expecting one product to suit everybody.
