How a Bush stairlift install works
#1
Free home survey
One of our surveyors comes to your house, measures your stairs, listens to how you use them, and tells you which models will actually fit. There is no charge and no pressure to buy.
#2
Our Recommendation
We send you a written quote with one or two models that suit your stairs and your budget. We do not bombard you with options. If you have questions you call us, or we call you back the same week.
#3
Installation in a day
Most straight stairlifts go in within four hours. Curved ones take a little longer because the rail is bespoke. Our engineers tidy up before they leave and walk you through how to use it.
#4
Aftercare for life
Servicing, adjustments and repairs are handled by our own team using genuine parts. Years later, if you ever want it removed, our buy-back scheme can put money back in your pocket.
Stairlifts across South Wales & Yate
We install stairlifts in homes across the region every week. Our installers are local, which means short lead times and someone you can actually get hold of.
Our 11 stores cover Aberdare, Abergavenny, Blackwood, Bridgend, Cross Hands, Neath, Newport, Pontypridd, Porthcawl, Swansea and Yate.

How many years of experience do you have?
At Bush HealthCare, we have over 40 years of industry experience. Based in South Wales, we’ve spent decades perfecting our craft, building a multiskilled team trained to handle every aspect of stairlift installation. This depth of expertise means we can tackle even the most specialised or challenging jobs with confidence. Our long history isn’t just about time—it’s about the trust we’ve earned from countless customers who now enjoy safer, more accessible homes. Want to see how our experience can work for you? Call us at 01685 884226 for a free consultation.
How long will the installation take?
The length of time all depends on how much work needs to be done. Typically a stairlift will be installed within 1 day, however sometimes may stretch to 2 days. For more complex mobility solutions such as vertical lifts, platform lifts and fixed ceiling hoists, the installation will take longer.
What services do you offer?
At Bush HealthCare, we provide full-service installation—from consultation to fitting—of straight stairlifts, bespoke curved stairlifts, outdoor stairlifts, vertical through-floor lifts, and fixed ceiling hoists, all tailored by our South Wales experts. You may then decide to take out a service contract with us.
We generally do not work on lifts under warranty by other companies as this may be a breach of contract, however; there’s no harm in enquiring so drop us an email here.
How do you customise stairlifts and hoists for different needs?
We assess your staircase or space and your mobility requirements, then design solutions like bespoke stairlifts for unique staircases, outdoor lifts sized for your wheelchair or scooter, or ceiling hoists for seamless transfers—all built to suit you.
What is the cost and how long will it take to get a quote?
Costs depend on type—straight stairlifts start lower, while bespoke curved, outdoor, or hoist setups cost more. We aim to get you a quote as soon as possible and provide clear, upfront costs after your consultation. Plus, we work with local authorities for those accessing disability grants—our team has experience helping customers navigate this process.
Furthermore, we do offer reconditioned stairlifts at a fraction of the cost of their brand new counterparts. We cannot guarantee the availability of these lifts as they are extremely popular so send in a request now! Click here.
What is the installation process?
At Bush HealthCare, we make the process simple and stress-free. It starts with arranging a convenient date for our team to visit your home, measure your staircase or space, and conduct a thorough survey. Next, we assess your needs and create a detailed drawing tailored to your setup—whether it’s a straight stairlift or a bespoke curved design. You’ll then receive a clear, no-obligation quote outlining all costs. Once you’re happy, we schedule an installation date, with most stairlifts fitted in just one day by our multiskilled engineers. If any issues arise, our team is back out promptly—no delays, no fuss—ensuring your stairlift is ready when you need it.
For vertical through-floor, outdoor platform lifts and fixed ceiling hoist systems, the process takes a bit longer due to their complexity. These bespoke installations typically require longer as they involve structural adjustments or custom track fittings, but our team manages every detail to deliver a seamless, reliable result.
What happens if the project goes over budget?
We pride ourselves on delivering projects that stay on budget—overruns are extremely rare thanks to our detailed planning and upfront quotes, demonstrating how thorough our team are from the get go. However, if an unexpected issue arises we’ll handle it transparently. In these cases, any additional costs would only apply to the unforeseen repairs, and we’ll work with you to keep them as manageable as possible. Our goal is your satisfaction, and we’ve built our South Wales reputation on trust. Have questions about your quote? Reach out at 01685 884226—we’re here to help.
Can i visit a store to try one out for myself?
