WHAT TO LOOK FOR
Not all pavement scooters feel the same
Size, seating, suspension and battery range can vary considerably between models. Think about the journeys you make most often and whether you prioritise compact dimensions, easier transport or greater comfort over longer distances.
Compact & Manoeuvrable
Smaller scooters are easier to handle around shops, narrower pavements and busy local areas.
More Comfort
Larger seats, suspension and additional legroom can make a noticeable difference if you spend longer on your scooter.
Greater Range
Battery capacity varies between models, so consider how far you typically travel between charges.
EVERYDAY USE
Most pavement scooters are designed around a maximum speed of 4 mph, making them suited to pavements and pedestrian areas. The right model still depends on the terrain around you, the distance you travel and how much space you need for comfortable seating.
On pavements and other pedestrian areas, mobility scooters must not exceed 4 mph.
