Straight Stairlifts
Our straight stairlifts are designed for staircases without bends or intermediate landings, with compact rails fitted directly to the stairs for a clean, discreet installation. The HomeGlide is our main straight stairlift, with additional options available through the HomeGlide Extra package.

Meet the HomeGlide
The HomeGlide combines a slim aluminium rail with a compact folding seat, making it a practical choice for straight staircases where space matters.
It is battery-powered, so it will continue to operate during a power cut, and supports users up to 160 kg on staircases up to 45°. The lift is operated using a simple joystick and includes a retractable seatbelt and built-in safety sensors.
Slim Rail
The aluminium rail is fitted directly to the staircase rather than the wall, helping keep installation quick and unobtrusive.
Battery Powered
The HomeGlide runs from rechargeable batteries, allowing continued use during a power cut.
Folding Rail Option
Where a doorway or walkway sits close to the bottom step, an optional powered hinge allows the lower section of rail to fold away.
Compact Design
The HomeGlide can be fitted to straight staircases as narrow as around 740 mm, depending on the individual staircase and installation.

More assistance built in
The HomeGlide Extra adds powered features that make getting on, off and setting up the chair easier.
A powered swivel seat turns automatically towards the landing at the top of the stairs, while the linked powered footrest reduces the need to bend down when unfolding the chair. The Extra package also includes seat-height adjustment and a keylock to help prevent unauthorised use.

The footrest moves with the seat, reducing the need to bend down when opening or closing the chair.

Every straight stairlift installation begins with a free home survey. We measure the staircase, check landing space and nearby doorways, and confirm which HomeGlide configuration will fit your home.
Straight stairlifts are usually installed within a day, with minimal disruption. Bush currently includes a two-year warranty and a free annual service with its new straight stairlifts.
