Curved Stairlifts
Curved stairlifts are made specifically for staircases with bends, corners or intermediate landings. Each rail is measured and manufactured to follow the shape of your staircase, giving you a smooth route between floors while keeping the installation as compact as possible.

A rail built around every bend
Unlike a straight stairlift, a curved stairlift uses a bespoke rail designed around the exact shape of your stairs. This allows the lift to travel around corners, across landings and along more complicated staircase layouts. The rail is fitted to the stairs rather than the wall, so the installation does not rely on structural wall fixings.

FLOW X
Designed for complex staircases
The Flow X by Access BDD uses a slim single-rail system and Advanced Swivel and Levelling technology to negotiate bends while keeping the chair positioned comfortably as it travels.
Its ability to rotate during the journey allows the Flow X to fit staircases as narrow as around 610 mm, making it particularly useful where staircase space is limited. It supports users up to 160 kg and includes powered swivel functionality as part of its travelling system.
ASL Technology
Advanced Swivel and Levelling allows the chair to rotate and adjust its position while travelling around the staircase.
Single Rail
A discreet single rail can be installed on either side of the staircase and positioned close to the steps.
Integrated Joystick
A soft-touch joystick is built into the armrest and folds away neatly when not in use.
Seatbelt Detection
The one-handed seatbelt includes a detection system so the stairlift will only travel once the user is secured.
BUILT AROUND THE USER
Comfort and control within easy reach
The Flow X uses tapered wrap-around armrests to provide support when sitting down and standing up, with an open-access position designed to make transferring onto the chair easier.
An optional call device can also provide direct contact with up to three stored telephone numbers from the stairlift.
PLATINUM ULTIMATE
Another approach to curved stairs
The Platinum Ultimate is another curved stairlift option available from Bush Healthcare. Its rail and travel system are designed to follow winding staircases while keeping the chair compact when not in use.
A key feature is its First Step Start system, which can allow the rail to begin higher on the staircase rather than extending into the hallway below. It also offers powered swivel and powered footplate options, with a maximum user weight of 160 kg.
First Step Start
Allows the lift to begin from the first step where the staircase layout permits, helping keep the hallway below clearer.
Powered Footplate
The footplate can fold up or down electrically, reducing the need to bend when preparing the chair for use.
Active Power Swivel
The chair automatically changes orientation as it travels to help negotiate the shape of the staircase.

Every curved stairlift begins with a home survey. We measure the staircase, assess the bends, landings and available space, and determine which rail and stairlift configuration will work best in your home.
Once the survey is complete, we can provide a quotation and explain the available options before anything is ordered.
INSTALLATION & AFTERCARE
From bespoke rail to finished installation
Because the rail is manufactured for your staircase, curved stairlifts require more planning than straight models. Once the rail has been produced, our team installs and tests the complete system in your home. Bush Healthcare currently provides a two-year warranty including a free annual service with its curved stairlifts.
